- What are your favorite activities now? Gardening, cooking, carpentry, fixing car
- What piece of advice would you offer to other people with Aphasia? Find a positive routine and socialize, which is hard to do with Aphasia. I was initially encouraged to connect with the Aphasia Community of Sarasota but was nervous. However, when I finally connected with ACC, I met others with Aphasia and felt better trying to speak.
- What is your biggest accomplishment in the last year? Building some confidence in speaking
- In what way are you raising awareness of Aphasia in our community? Trying to speak more. When people learn that I have Aphasia, it gives me the chance to educate them on the condition.
- Do you have any pets? I did. We had an English Bulldog named Tara, who passed away from cancer last December.
- What is your favorite flavor of ice cream? Chocolate
- Is there anything else you would like to tell us? My favorite quote is from World War Z (l love zombie movies.). I like when Brad Pitt says, “El Movimiento es Vida,”which means “Movement is life.”
